Modern Slavery Statement
Financial year ending: · Published:
Note on applicability: The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires organisations with an annual turnover of £36 million or more to publish an annual transparency statement. GenerateQuick does not currently meet this threshold. We publish this statement voluntarily as a matter of good practice and to demonstrate our commitment to ethical operations.
1. About GenerateQuick
GenerateQuick operates generatequick.com, a free online platform providing browser-based generator tools including QR code, barcode, favicon, PDF, invoice, image compression, and academic citation tools. The business is small in scale, operating primarily as a digital service with no physical goods manufacturing, no warehousing, and no logistics supply chain.
2. Our commitment
GenerateQuick is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all of its business dealings. We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, and any form of exploitation, whether within our own operations or in those of any organisation with which we do business.
Modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes many forms including slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking. We take our responsibility to prevent it seriously, even as a small organisation.
3. Our structure and supply chains
GenerateQuick is a small digital business. Our operations consist entirely of software development and the delivery of an online service. We have no manufacturing operations, no physical retail presence, and no distribution network.
Our supply chain is limited to a small number of digital service providers:
- Hetzner Online GmbH: web hosting infrastructure, headquartered in Germany. Hetzner is a well-established European provider subject to EU and German labour law.
- Google LLC: email delivery (Gmail SMTP) for contact form messages, headquartered in the United States. Google publishes its own Modern Slavery statement and maintains publicly available supplier codes of conduct.
- jsDelivr / Prospect One sp. z o.o.: content delivery network for one third-party JavaScript library used in our barcode tool, headquartered in Poland.
All of our suppliers are established organisations based in countries with strong legal protections for workers' rights. Our supply chain presents a low risk of modern slavery given its exclusively digital and professional services nature.
4. Policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking
We are committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business. Given our size and the nature of our operations, formal written procurement policies are not presently in place, but we apply the following principles:
- We only work with reputable suppliers that we have assessed as operating lawfully.
- We do not engage suppliers in high-risk sectors or high-risk geographies for modern slavery.
- We do not use unpaid labour, intern labour without fair remuneration, or any form of forced or compulsory work arrangement.
- Any individual who performs work for or with GenerateQuick does so willingly and is fairly compensated.
5. Due diligence
Before engaging with any supplier or service provider, we conduct basic due diligence including reviewing their publicly available policies and reputation. All current suppliers are subject to the legal frameworks of their home countries (Germany, United States, Poland), each of which has domestic laws prohibiting forced labour and human trafficking.
We have not identified any instances of modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking in our operations or supply chain.
6. Risk assessment
We consider the risk of modern slavery within our business and supply chain to be low for the following reasons:
- Our operations are exclusively digital with no physical manufacturing, agriculture, construction, or hospitality activity; these are the sectors most commonly associated with modern slavery risk.
- Our supplier base is limited to three well-established, publicly accountable organisations based in high-income countries with strong rule of law.
- We do not operate in, or source from, high-risk geographies identified by the Global Slavery Index.
7. Training and awareness
Given the current size of our organisation, we ensure that all individuals involved in operating and developing GenerateQuick are aware of what modern slavery is, the indicators to look for, and how to report a concern. We will increase the formality of training commensurate with any growth in our team and supply chain.
8. Reporting a concern
If you have concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking in connection with GenerateQuick's operations or supply chain, please contact us using our contact form. You can also report concerns to the relevant UK authorities:
- Modern Slavery Helpline: 0800 0121 700 (free, 24/7)
- Police: 101 (or 999 in an emergency)
- National Crime Agency: nationalcrimeagency.gov.uk
9. Approval
This statement has been approved by the management of GenerateQuick and will be reviewed and updated annually.
